Queensland police have charged a 45-year-old Moorooka man with 13 offences following an investigation into the alleged grooming and indecent assault of a teenager. Police allege the offences occurred between 2020 and 2024 while the man was working as a disability support worker. The alleged victim was a boy in his early teens. The matter was reported in mid-September, prompting an investigation by the Morningside Child Protection Investigation Unit. The man was arrested on September 30 and charged with offences including indecent treatment of children under 16, grooming, supplying dangerous drugs to a minor and carnal knowledge involving a child in his care. He was held in custody and appeared before Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 1. He is due to appear again on November 23. Investigations remain ongoing.
