Queensland police have charged a 46-year-old Ormiston man with 99 offences following an investigation into the possession and distribution of child exploitation material. Detectives from the Argos unit executed a search warrant at an Ormiston property on October 1 and located numerous electronic storage devices. Police allege the man possessed material depicting the sexual abuse of children and participated in several online child abuse networks. The charges include possessing child abuse material, administering a child exploitation material website, using a carriage service to distribute child abuse material and other offences involving children. The man appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 2 and was remanded in custody until October 16.
