Hyundai Motor Group has launched a mobility innovation ideathon and research forum for students and faculty at seven Indian universities participating in its Hyundai Center of Excellence (Hyundai CoE). The initiative includes prize money of INR 10 lakh and is designed to encourage new ideas for India’s evolving mobility needs. Students from IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur and Tezpur University can submit concepts through a dedicated microsite. The competition will focus on innovative in-vehicle experiences tailored to changing customer lifestyles and local mobility requirements. The accompanying Research Synergy Forum will bring together faculty members, Hyundai researchers and university participants to exchange knowledge on batteries, electrification and future mobility technologies. Hyundai said the programs are intended to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and support the development of future mobility talent in India.
