Queensland police are appealing for information after a stolen vehicle crashed into a power pole in Granville on May 21, with the driver fleeing before emergency services arrived.

Police said officers and emergency crews were called to Cambridge Street at about 10:10 p.m. after a white Mitsubishi Triton struck a power pole, spun out and came to a stop. The vehicle had reportedly been stolen from a property in Glenwood earlier that day.

A search of the surrounding area did not locate the driver, who remains outstanding. Police described the driver as a male with dark skin, black dreadlocked hair and brown eyes, who was last seen wearing black clothing.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the crash is asked to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers, quoting reference number QP2600964279.
