Detectives from the Gladstone Child Protection Investigation Unit have arrested and charged a 68-year-old man with 36 sexual and drug-related offenses in Barney Point, Gladstone. The alleged crimes were committed over a three-year period against two girls known to the man. The arrest followed a search warrant execution at an address in Barney Point on May 9, where the suspect was taken into custody. The 68-year-old man from Barney Point is facing charges that include 12 counts of rape, eight counts of indecent treatment of children under 16, and seven counts of supplying dangerous drugs to minors, among others.
