Hyundai Motor Group is expanding its Hyundai Center of Excellence network in India to seven universities through four new partnerships, aiming to accelerate research into batteries and vehicle electrification. The expanded academic-industrial platform builds on the network’s initial launch in 2025. Hyundai described it as a major collaborative research ecosystem supporting India’s transition toward electrified mobility. The Hyundai CoE network is currently advancing 39 joint research projects, according to the company. The partnerships are intended to strengthen cooperation between Hyundai and Indian universities in battery technology and other electrification-related fields. Hyundai said the initiative will use the expanded university network to develop research capabilities and help accelerate the country’s electrification journey.
