Samsung has introduced Color E-Paper, a lightweight digital signage solution designed to replace traditional paper posters in retail stores, cafés and franchise locations. The company says the displays are intended to reduce the cost and effort associated with repeatedly printing and replacing promotional materials, schedules and notices. The displays use digital ink technology and consume zero watts while showing static images, according to Samsung. Power is required for content updates, monitoring and device control, but the company says overall energy use remains lower than that of conventional digital signage, potentially reducing operating costs. Samsung Color E-Paper will be offered in 32-inch, 20-inch and 13-inch sizes. The 20-inch and 13-inch models are designed to match familiar paper formats, while the displays can be wall-mounted, hung or placed on stands. Availability may vary by market, and Samsung said the 20-inch models are expected to become available in the second half of 2026. Content can be updated through Samsung’s Color E-Paper mobile app, which supports Android and iOS devices. Businesses managing multiple connected displays can also use Samsung’s VXT platform to distribute updates remotely and preview color accuracy. VXT is sold separately, and features may vary by region.
