A 23-year-old Strathpine man has been charged with 13 offences following a traffic crash involving an allegedly stolen vehicle in Brendale, north Brisbane, Queensland Police said. Police allege the man stole a white Holden Cruze from a residence on Samsonvale Road, Strathpine, between 8pm and 9.30pm on January 5. Investigators further allege he drove the vehicle to Woorim on Bribie Island, where property was allegedly stolen from a parked utility and a storage cage was damaged. The man allegedly abandoned the Holden at a Virginia car park before stealing a white Volkswagen Touareg outside a business. Police said he later drove the vehicle dangerously through Aspley before colliding with an MG hatchback at the intersection of Linkfield Road and Scouts Crossing Road, Brendale, at about 12.15pm on January 6. The 20-year-old driver of the MG did not require medical treatment. The accused was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital with minor injuries. His charges include unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation while allegedly affected by an intoxicating substance, entering premises, wilful damage, stealing and unlicensed driving.
