A 20-year-old Queensland Police Service constable has been charged with allegedly driving a private vehicle while over the general alcohol limit in the Capricornia region. The Central Region officer, who was off duty at the time of the alleged offence, was served with a notice to appear and is expected to face Yeppoon Magistrates Court on August 27. The officer has been stood down from the Queensland Police Service while the matter proceeds. QPS said the public notification reflected its commitment to transparency and accountability, and stressed that the allegations had not been substantiated.
