Three Boys Charged Over Kingston Assault

Queensland police have charged three boys following an alleged group assault that left a 14-year-old boy with serious facial and head injuries in Kingston on August 14.

Police allege the boy was approached and assaulted by a group of young people on Juers Street at about 9am. The group reportedly left before police and emergency services arrived, and the injured boy was taken to hospital.

Detectives from the Logan District Child Protection and Investigation Unit charged an 11-year-old Woodridge boy with 12 offences, including eight counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count of grievous bodily harm. He was dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.

A 14-year-old Woodridge boy and a 17-year-old Logan Central boy were each charged with 11 offences, including eight counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count of grievous bodily harm while armed or in company. Both were also dealt with under the Youth Justice Act. Police are appealing for information and have cited reference numbers QP2601579038 and QP2601611416.
