Queensland police have charged a 17-year-old boy following an alleged stabbing during an altercation in Albany Creek on August 13. The injured teenager remains in a stable condition in hospital. Police said officers were called to Albany Creek Road at about 8:15 p.m. after reports that two teenage boys known to each other had become involved in an altercation. A 17-year-old Albany Creek boy was arrested at the scene and charged with wounding and unlawful possession of a category M weapon. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in Brisbane Children’s Court on August 17. The alleged victim, a 16-year-old boy from Petrie, was transported to hospital after reportedly being stabbed with a knife. Police investigations are continuing.
