Ukrainian Audio Guides Expand Worldwide

Three more museums in Europe now offer Ukrainian-language audio guides, bringing the global total to 125 across 59 countries, First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska announced Aug. 12.

The new guides are available at the Hans Christian Andersen Museum in Odense, Denmark; the Alte Pinakothek in Munich, Germany; and the Cluny Museum in Paris, France. The institutions feature collections spanning literature, European painting and medieval art.

Zelenska said the initiative reflects the importance of making Ukrainian language and culture accessible internationally. She thanked Ukrainian embassies, cultural activists, museums and tour teams involved in expanding the program.

The Cluny Museum’s collection includes the “Lady and the Unicorn” tapestries, medieval stained glass and Limoges enamels, while the Alte Pinakothek houses works by artists including Albrecht Dürer, Raphael, Rembrandt, Leonardo da Vinci and Titian.
