Four Charged After Weapons Seized

Queensland police have charged four men after allegedly seizing multiple weapons, ammunition, drugs and a stolen motorcycle during a search in Deception Bay.

Officers from the Moreton Tactical Crime Squad, assisted by the Public Safety Response Team and Dog Squad, executed a warrant at a Cross Street property shortly after 5 p.m. on August 2. Police said they found two handguns allegedly designed to fold and resemble mobile phones, along with two other pistols and ammunition.

Authorities also reported finding quantities of methylamphetamine, GHB, cannabis and ketamine, as well as a motorcycle allegedly stolen from Deception Bay between February 20 and March 8.

A 37-year-old Deception Bay man faces multiple drug, weapons and property-related charges. A 52-year-old Rollingstone man was charged with unlawful possession of weapons, while a 40-year-old Burpengary man and a 44-year-old Deception Bay man face separate drug- and medicine-related charges. All four men are due to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on August 31.
