Queensland police have charged two men after allegedly seizing 164 grams of methamphetamine during a search warrant operation in Mackay. Police estimate the drugs had a street value of about $30,000. Mackay Tactical Crime Squad officers executed the warrant at a Hamlet Street address at about 3:15 p.m. on July 23, locating the alleged drugs and other items. A 41-year-old man has been charged with possessing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils, possessing tainted property, and an offence relating to the purchase or possession of Schedule 4 medicines. He remains in custody and is due to appear in Mackay Magistrates Court on September 15. A 53-year-old man has been charged with possessing dangerous drugs and possessing utensils.
