Police Probe Logan Break-Ins

Queensland police are investigating a series of break-and-enter offences across Brisbane and Logan districts in the early hours of August 11, after a group allegedly stole two vehicles and targeted several businesses and homes.

Police said a blue 2021 Kia Sorento was stolen from a home on Tindal Street, Gordon Park, at about 4:30 a.m. on August 10. The vehicle was later used during an alleged break-in at a Ronruth Street home in The Gap, where wallets, handbags and car keys were taken. The group fled in a black Nissan Navara after being interrupted by a resident. No one was injured.

The stolen vehicles were later reported in Logan, where about four males allegedly forced entry into a liquor store on Sambit Street, Tanah Merah, stealing alcohol and cigarettes. The group also allegedly attempted to break into businesses in Waterford West, Meadowbrook and Logan Reserve. Police said officers interrupted the attempted offence at a supermarket on Chambers Flat Road, but the group escaped in the Kia after being tracked for a period.
