Heroin, Stolen Goods Seized in Brisbane

Queensland police have charged a 64-year-old Durack man after searches in Inala and Darra uncovered heroin and more than 250 power tools and electronic items allegedly linked to property offences.

Detectives from the Centenary Crime Team and officers from the Inala Tactical Crime Squad executed search warrants at two properties around 10 a.m. on August 6 as part of investigations into suspected drug and property offences in Brisbane’s south.

The man was charged with two counts of possessing tainted property constituting a crime, along with charges relating to drug trafficking, possessing a dangerous drug above the relevant schedule, possessing suspected proceeds and possessing property suspected of being used for drug consumption. He appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 10.

Police are seeking information from people who have recently reported tool thefts. Owners are encouraged to provide serial numbers, photographs or other identifying details to help identify and return recovered property.
