The Queensland Police Service has announced the return of its annual Dog Squad Calendar, with proceeds from the 2027 edition to support three Queensland not-for-profit organisations. The calendar will feature police dogs and handlers involved in frontline operations and community safety across the state. The QPS Dog Squad has more than 100 dogs stationed at 15 locations throughout Queensland. The animals include general-purpose, specialist detection and tactical working dogs trained to track offenders, locate evidence and detect substances including blood and explosives. Funds raised through calendar sales will be donated to Queensland Police Legacy, SalTy Souls Legacy and Juiced TV. The organisations support families of deceased or terminally ill officers, youth engagement through surfing and children receiving treatment for serious illness. The calendar will be available in person at the Brisbane Royal Show, known as the Ekka, and online from August 17, while supplies last. QPS officers said the initiative celebrates the work of police dogs and their handlers while supporting community-focused causes.
