Queensland police have charged a 50-year-old Deeral man over alleged stolen property, weapons and drug offences following a search at Arriga.

Police allege equipment was stolen from a mine site at Dimbulah overnight on July 18. Officers from the Tablelands Property Crime Unit, Tablelands Criminal Investigation Branch and Mareeba Rural and Stock Crime Squad executed a search warrant at an Arriga address on July 31.

Police allegedly found a loaded rifle, ammunition, cannabis plants and the stolen equipment during the search. The man was charged with multiple offences, including trespass, entering premises and committing an indictable offence, possessing stolen property, possessing a category B weapon and producing dangerous drugs.

He also faces charges relating to driving without a licence, firearm storage requirements and possessing explosives without authority. He is scheduled to appear in Mareeba Magistrates Court on Aug. 17. Police cited reference numbers QP2601396834, QP2601482336 and QP2601482582.
