Queensland Officer Faces Multiple Charges

A 32-year-old Queensland Police Senior Constable from the Northern Region has been charged over alleged domestic violence-related conduct and a separate incident involving unpaid fuel. The officer has been stood down from the Queensland Police Service while the matters proceed through the courts.

Police said the officer was issued a notice to appear for allegedly contravening a police protection notice while off duty. The matter is scheduled to be heard in Gladstone Magistrates Court on August 11, 2026.

The officer also faces two counts of fraud and one count of obstructing police after allegedly failing to pay for fuel in a separate incident. That matter is listed in Ipswich Magistrates Court on August 5, 2026.

Queensland Police said the charges were disclosed as part of its commitment to transparency and accountability. The service emphasized that the allegations have not been substantiated and the officer is entitled to due process.
