A 36-year-old Morayfield man has been charged with property, drug and vehicle offences after an allegedly stolen car crashed into a pole at Burpengary on July 30, Queensland Police said. Police allege a Mazda 3 sedan was stolen from a car park on Matthew Terrace, Caboolture, between July 29 and 30. The vehicle was later involved in a petrol drive-off at Morayfield before being spotted by officers on Rosewood Crescent, Margate, at about 10am. The Mazda allegedly evaded police before crashing into a pole on Hunt Road, Burpengary. Officers found the alleged driver nearby on Hauton Road and took him into custody. A search of the vehicle allegedly located a quantity of drugs. The man has been charged with two counts of stealing, along with offences including evading police, dangerous operation of a vehicle, receiving tainted property, possessing dangerous drugs and driving without a licence.
