Capricornia residents now have access to the ‘Bring the Beat’ program, a Mobile Police Beat initiative aimed at enhancing community safety and security. Developed by the Queensland Police Service, this program allows locals to request a ‘police station on wheels’ to be deployed to their neighborhood for discussions on crime prevention and advice provision.

Initially launched in Rockhampton, the Mobile Police Beat program enables community members to request police presence in specific locations by submitting an online form on the myPolice webpage. These requests will be evaluated based on operational needs to ensure efficient deployment.

Superintendent Mark Burgess of the Capricornia District highlighted the program’s significance in providing greater policing resources to residents. He emphasized the Mobile Police Beats’ role in promoting a visible police presence, encouraging community collaboration, and addressing crime issues promptly.

The Mobile Police Beats offer immediate access to law enforcement at events and various environments, facilitating quick responses to crime incidents. Officers stationed at these mobile units can assist with crime reports, victim statements, field interviews, and overall community safety enhancement through increased visibility.

Residents interested in requesting a Mobile Police Beat deployment can do so online through the Queensland Police Service website. Additionally, individuals can provide information to the police through various channels, including Policelink, Crime Stoppers, and emergency contact numbers, to contribute to maintaining public safety and security.
