Queensland police are investigating a house fire in Abergowrie that extensively damaged a residence and two vehicles on July 24. Emergency services were called to Copleys Road shortly before 8:30 a.m. A 79-year-old man sustained serious burn injuries in the incident and was taken to Townsville University Hospital, where he remained in serious condition. Police are working to determine the cause of the fire and have appealed for information, including CCTV, dashcam footage or other relevant video.
