Hyundai Motor Group has opened UX Studio Shanghai, a research and collaboration center focused on shaping future mobility experiences for consumers in China. The company said the facility will support its “In China, For China, To Global” strategy by expanding local research and contributing to global innovation.

The Shanghai studio joins Hyundai Motor Group’s global user-experience network, which includes centers in Seoul, Frankfurt and Irvine. The group said the network is designed to support collaboration on mobility services and connected-vehicle experiences.

The facility will work with local talent and academic institutions to study Chinese consumer behavior and emerging mobility needs. It will also focus on China’s rapidly developing smart-mobility market and the advancement of next-generation connected mobility technologies.
