The Queensland Police Service is appealing for witnesses and camera footage as investigations continue into a serious single-vehicle crash in Harristown, Toowoomba, on July 19. The crash left a passenger with life-threatening injuries. Emergency services were called to West Street at about 2 a.m. after a white 2015 Hyundai i30 left the roadway and struck a power pole. A 24-year-old man from Darling Heights, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to Toowoomba Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The 19-year-old Harristown driver was also transported to hospital with minor injuries. The Toowoomba Forensic Crash Unit is seeking motorists and members of the public who witnessed the Hyundai travelling north on West Street before the crash or stopped to assist at the scene. Police are also requesting CCTV or dashcam footage recorded in the area between 1:45 a.m. and 2:05 a.m. Anyone with information can contact Policelink online or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
