Samsung is highlighting how its Samsung Account service connects Galaxy devices, digital services and smart home products in a July 20 Samsung Newsroom article. The company said the account serves as more than a single sign-in, linking services such as Samsung Health, Samsung Wallet, Galaxy Store, Samsung Cloud and SmartThings. According to Samsung, users can access saved Samsung Wallet items when moving to a new phone, while Samsung Find can help locate missing devices such as Galaxy Buds. The company also said users can activate Lost Mode on registered Galaxy smartphones to help prevent unauthorized transactions. Samsung described Samsung Account as a central part of SmartThings, allowing connected devices to work together. One example, called Welcome Air Care, can use a smartphone’s location to notify users and ask whether they want to turn on an air conditioner before arriving home. Availability varies by country and region. The company also pointed to security and family-focused features, including cross-region failover intended to maintain service during cloud outages and child accounts with parental controls. Samsung said it plans to expand family functions, including shared albums and tools that allow family members to view one another’s locations from Galaxy devices.
