Two individuals, a 29-year-old man from Blackwater and a 46-year-old woman from Capella, face numerous charges following a dramatic armed robbery in Emerald, Queensland. The incident, which unfolded on the evening of July 7, involved the duo allegedly accosting residents at a home on Goanna Flats Road in Rubyvale.

Armed with a firearm, the suspects are accused of forcing a 38-year-old man into a white Subaru Outback. A woman from Emerald was also reportedly abducted and taken along with the man to Willis Road, where both victims were assaulted and robbed. The vehicle involved was later found abandoned on the Gregory Highway on July 9.

The male victim sustained minor injuries but did not require hospitalization, while the female victim reportedly escaped physical harm. The charges against the accused include robbery with violence, assault occasioning bodily harm, deprivation of liberty, threatening violence, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of tainted property, totaling 27 offenses. Both suspects are currently held in custody and are scheduled to reappear at the Emerald Magistrates Court on September 1.

Queensland Police are continuing their investigation into the case and urge anyone with information to come forward.
