A devastating traffic collision in Gleneagle has led to the death of a 6-year-old boy from Beaudesert, Queensland Police Service reported. The accident occurred on July 6, at the intersection of Mount Lindesay Highway and Gould Hill Road, involving a Subaru Impreza and a Nissan Qashqai.

The child, who was a passenger in the Nissan, sustained severe injuries and was urgently airlifted to a hospital. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries four days later, on July 10. The Queensland Police’s Forensic Crash Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and has issued an appeal for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
