Ukraine Strikes Russian Refineries

In a decisive address on June 1, 2026, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed significant military operations against Russian oil facilities and strategic aviation assets. The president commemorated the first anniversary of Operation “Spiderweb”, a strategic initiative that significantly impacted Russian military logistics and fuel supplies.

President Zelenskyy detailed the achievements of the operation, noting that between January and May, Ukrainian forces successfully targeted 15 Russian oil refineries, which led to a substantial reduction in Russia’s oil refining capacity.
