Police have apprehended a 33-year-old man following a dramatic overnight chase involving a milk truck stolen from Brisbane City. The incident, which culminated in the deployment of a tire deflation device to halt the truck in Laidley, occurred in the early hours of March 26.

The vehicle, a 2021 white Fuso truck, was reported stolen around midnight while parked outside a business on Queen Street. The police tracked its erratic journey from the Western Freeway in Jindalee to Laidley. Along the way, the truck shed its cargo of milk products, creating hazardous conditions on the roads through Amberley, Walloon, and Rosewood.

The pursuit ended near Mount Berryman Road, Laidley, when police successfully used a tyre deflation device. The driver, a resident of Tara, was taken into custody and faces charges including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a vehicle while intoxicated, and driving without a license. He is set to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court today.
