In a violent outburst at an Earlville bus stop, two young individuals, an 18-year-old from Mooroobool and a 17-year-old from Keriri Island, were arrested on charges of severe assault and armed robbery, Queensland Police reported. The incident occurred early in the morning on March 25, at a Mulgrave Road shopping center’s bus stop. The altercation began when the two accused assaulted a 58-year-old local man. Shortly after, they allegedly wounded a 24-year-old Edmonton man and stole his belongings. An attempt by a 69-year-old man to intervene resulted in a significant head injury due to the assault. Queensland Police promptly administered first aid; the victims were then rushed to Cairns Hospital. The accused were apprehended around 8:45 am on the same day, and have been refused bail pending court appearances. The Queensland Police are seeking additional witnesses and are collecting dashcam or CCTV footage from the area during the time of the incident.
