President Zelenskyy Urges for Full Ceasefire at European Political Community Summit

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine emphasized the urgent need for a full, unconditional, and honest ceasefire during his speech at the European Political Community Summit. Addressing the attendees, including leaders from various countries, President Zelenskyy stressed the importance of ending the war between Russia and Ukraine for the sake of peace in Europe.

During the summit, President Zelenskyy expressed his willingness to engage in direct dialogue with Russian President Putin to resolve the ongoing conflict. However, he noted the lack of progress due to Russia’s reluctance to agree to a ceasefire. The Ukrainian delegation, led by the Minister of Defense, was present in Istanbul to seek a resolution, but faced challenges as the Russian representatives displayed a lack of decision-making authority.
