A 50-year-old woman from Cleveland has been charged by detectives from the Bayside Criminal Investigation Branch following investigations into five bomb hoaxes in the Bayside area of Brisbane. The alleged incidents occurred in childcare centers and a primary school in Brisbane’s Bayside in the early hours of Thursday morning. The woman has been charged with five counts of making a bomb hoax – falsely informing the presence of a bomb. Police have determined that the threats were unsubstantiated and that there was no actual risk to any children or the community. Additionally, it is believed that the woman had no prior connection to the centers or the school. The accused is scheduled to appear at the Cleveland Magistrate’s Court on June 5.
