Logan detectives have escalated their investigation into the death of a 46-year-old woman found at a Buccan property, issuing an arrest warrant for a 36-year-old man suspected of murder. The woman’s body was discovered early Monday morning during a welfare check by Queensland Police. The deceased, an Ashgrove woman last seen on the evening of January 10 in The Gap, had been reported missing shortly before her discovery on January 12. Initial reports indicated that the woman was acquainted with the Buccan man, who was absent from the residence at the time police located her body. Further complicating the case, the suspect was arrested on unrelated traffic charges by New South Wales Police on the afternoon of January 12 in Kempsey. Currently held in custody in NSW, the man awaits sentencing for these charges on February 25, after which Queensland Police intend to seek his extradition. The ongoing investigation encourages anyone with information to report anonymously via Crime Stoppers or contact Policelink directly. Authorities remain committed to uncovering the full circumstances surrounding the tragic incident. Post navigation Mackenzie River Flood Crisis
