Police in Queensland are seeking public assistance in the aftermath of a tragic incident involving the death of a 46-year-old woman at a property in Buccan. Detectives are specifically requesting dash-camera footage from vehicles that traveled along Acton Street, heading towards Waterford-Tamborine Road, from the evening of January 10 to the afternoon of January 11, 2026. The body of the deceased was discovered on the morning of January 12. In a parallel development, a 36-year-old man from Buccan was apprehended in Kempsey by New South Wales Police on charges unrelated to the woman’s death. Queensland Police Service (QPS) detectives have since traveled to New South Wales to interrogate the suspect concerning the woman’s demise. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
