Aldershot Stabbing Horror

In a distressing incident in Aldershot, north of Maryborough, a 43-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged stabbing attack on a 28-year-old woman. The attack occurred late in the evening on January 9, and police were summoned to a residence in Aldershot Street around 10:40 pm.

Upon their arrival, emergency services found the woman suffering from multiple stab wounds to her upper torso. She was immediately transported to Hervey Bay Hospital in a critical condition. The suspect, known to the victim, was arrested at the scene and now faces charges of attempted murder in a domestic violence context and breaching a domestic violence order.

The accused is slated to appear before the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on January 12.
