A 16-year-old from Browns Plains has been charged following an alleged string of property and vehicle crimes on the Gold Coast in December 2025, as reported by the Queensland Police Service. The charges include multiple counts of entering premises to commit an indictable offense, vehicle misuse, and robbery attempts.

The spree reportedly involved attempted robbery and vehicle-related offenses in several areas including Ormeau, Elanora, and Mermaid Waters. Notably, the incidents included an attempted armed robbery and unlawful vehicle use involving a stolen Volkswagen Golf. The vehicle, reported stolen from Elanora on December 26, was later recovered in Pacific Pines.

The teenager was apprehended on December 30 during a search warrant execution by detectives at an Oxenford address. Items stolen in a burglary, including those from a residence in Mermaid Waters, were recovered and returned to the rightful owner.

Currently held in custody, the accused is scheduled for a court appearance at the Southport Children’s Court on January 14. With investigations ongoing, the Queensland Police urge the public to report any relevant information via Policelink, Crime Stoppers, or their online suspicious activity form.
