Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Ihor Zhovkva, met with the Minister for the European Union of Poland, Adam Szłapka, to discuss the upcoming EU sanctions package against Russia. The meeting highlighted the importance of continued joint efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine through sanctions pressure on Russia. Zhovkva stated that the EU’s 17th sanctions package is expected to be adopted soon with significant restrictive measures. The discussion also covered Ukraine’s progress in EU accession talks and the need for swift negotiation clusters. Trade liberalization between Ukraine and the EU was emphasized, along with preparations for the upcoming European Political Community meeting in Albania on May 16.
