A serious traffic incident occurred last night in Waterford West, Logan, involving a pedestrian and a vehicle, sparking an investigation by the Forensic Crash Unit. The accident took place around 8:19 PM at the intersection of Chambers Flat Road and Bourke Street.

According to the Queensland Police Service (QPS), a white Holden Colorado dual cab, driven by a 25-year-old man from Redland Bay, struck a 29-year-old pedestrian from Loganlea. The driver initially fled the scene but returned later and is currently cooperating with the police. The victim sustained serious injuries and was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The QPS is calling on witnesses or anyone with relevant video footage to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
