In a dramatic late-night incident, police have apprehended a woman and her male accomplice after they allegedly rammed two police vehicles in West Ipswich. The confrontation occurred shortly before midnight on November 3, following a report of a stolen vehicle spotted at a Brisbane Street location. Authorities detailed that upon police arrival, the driver of the stolen black Mitsubishi Lancer, a 36-year-old woman from Gailes, attempted to escape. She reportedly reversed into one of the police cars then accelerated forward, crashing into another, ultimately bringing her own vehicle to a halt. Both she and a 28-year-old male passenger from East Brisbane were arrested at the scene. Further investigations revealed the Mitsubishi Lancer was reported stolen from Shailer Park on October 27, and it was also equipped with license plates allegedly taken from a Black BMW hatchback on October 6. The male passenger has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and is scheduled for a court appearance at the Ipswich Magistrates Court on November 24. The Queensland Police have urged anyone with additional information to come forward and assist by contacting Policelink or reporting anonymously through Crime Stoppers. This case marks another significant incident in the ongoing efforts to curb vehicle-related crimes in the area. Post navigation Chase Ends in Police Car Crash Teens Charged in Gold Coast Crime Spree
