A shocking incident unfolded in West Ipswich late last night when a woman, driving a stolen vehicle, rammed two police cars. Queensland Police have charged the 26-year-old from Gailes with multiple offenses following the altercation on November 3. Responding to reports of a stolen 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer spotted at a Brisbane Street fast-food restaurant around 11:20 PM, police officers attempted to intercept the vehicle. The driver made a bold attempt to escape, reversing into one police car and then accelerating into another, eventually coming to a stop after the collisions. Authorities confirmed that the vehicle was stolen from Shailer Park on October 27 and was fitted with plates stolen from a Black BMW hatchback earlier in October. The woman now faces charges including damaging an emergency vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possession of tainted property, and driving without a license. Fortunately, no police officers were injured during the incident. The accused was arrested at the scene and is scheduled to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court today, November 4. Queensland Police urge anyone with additional information to contact Policelink or report anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
