A 17-year-old boy was found deceased after a search and rescue operation at Callide Dam in Dumgree, Queensland Police Service Media confirmed. The tragic discovery was made on the afternoon of October 30, concluding a frantic search that began the previous day. Emergency services were called to the scene around 5 PM on October 29 following reports of a missing swimmer. The search effort, involving the Water Police and the State Emergency Service (SES), continued until 10 PM and resumed early the following morning. At approximately 4:35 PM, police divers located the body of the missing teenager in the water. A report will be prepared for the coroner, as per standard procedure in such cases.
