Police in Hervey Bay are seeking public assistance following an armed robbery that occurred on the evening of October 19, 2025, in Point Vernon. A 17-year-old boy was threatened with a knife and robbed of his car while parked along Charleton Esplanade. At approximately 8:30 PM, the victim, seated in his white Mitsubishi Triton dual cab ute, was approached by three male assailants. The suspects demanded the teenager’s vehicle under the threat of a knife. The vehicle, which has the Queensland registration 111JO5, has not yet been recovered. Authorities have issued a call for witnesses or anyone who may have captured relevant video footage to come forward.
