Detectives have charged a 40-year-old man following an investigation into a wounding incident that occurred at Surfers Paradise on the night of September 30. The incident involved a 48-year-old woman who was allegedly wounded during an altercation with the man, who is known to her.

Police responded to a unit on the Gold Coast Highway just after 10 p.m., where they found the woman injured. She was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition. Authorities have charged the man from Biggera Waters with one count of wounding.

The accused appeared in the Southport Magistrates Court on October 1. Queensland Police have urged anyone with further information regarding the incident to contact Policelink or report anonymously via Crime Stoppers. The police have provided reference number QP2501768388 for this case.
