A 45-year-old man has been charged following a fatal stabbing incident in Manly West, Queensland, on September 28, 2025. The Queensland Police Service reported that at approximately 1 am, a 44-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds near a shopping centre car park on Trevally Crescent. The victim was declared deceased upon police arrival. The suspect, identified as a Wynnum resident, allegedly fled the scene on foot. He then reportedly attempted to assault an 18-year-old woman on Miles Crescent at around 2 am. A passerby intervened, enabling the police to promptly arrest the suspect at the scene. The woman was taken to Redlands Hospital for treatment. The accused has been charged with several offenses, including murder, assault with intent to commit rape, indecent act in public, and obstructing a police officer.
