Sergeant Charged with Child Exploitation

A 40-year-old Sergeant from the North Coast Region has been charged with serious offenses related to child exploitation, according to a statement released by Queensland Police Service (QPS) on September 4, 2025.

The officer faces three counts of possessing child exploitation material and one count of distributing such material. The alleged offenses occurred while the officer was off duty. In response to these charges, the Sergeant has been suspended from duty and will appear in Sandgate Magistrates Court on September 11, 2025.
