EU Survey Reveals Public Expectations

In anticipation of the upcoming release of the European Parliament’s latest Eurobarometer survey, a media briefing is scheduled for Tuesday, 2 September 2025, at 10:00 AM. Accredited journalists are invited to attend the under-embargo event at the European Parliament in Brussels or via the Interactio platform. Delphine Colard, the Parliament’s spokesperson, will unveil the key findings of the survey, which captures EU citizens’ priorities and expectations for the future.

The Eurobarometer survey, conducted by the research agency Verian from 5 to 29 May 2025, delves into the public’s views on the European Union’s role in safeguarding against global crises, enhancing security and defense, and boosting competitiveness. The comprehensive results, including national data sets, will be accessible the following day on the Eurobarometer website, timed for release at 7:00 AM on 3 September 2025.

The briefing will culminate with a Q&A session, offering journalists the opportunity to delve deeper into the survey’s findings. Interpretation services in multiple languages—including German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, and Polish—will be available. As the data will remain under embargo until its official release, the briefing will not be publicly streamed.
