Police in Queensland have apprehended two men in connection with a fire that broke out at an abandoned house in One Mile. The incident occurred late at night on August 14, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement.

Authorities were called to the scene on Toowoomba Road just before 11:30 p.m. following reports of the blaze. The suspects reportedly fled the area on foot, leading to a pursuit by the police canine unit. The chase concluded with the arrest of the suspects at a residence on Huntingdale Street.

The individuals, identified as a 23-year-old man from Eagleby and a 24-year-old man from Woodridge, have been charged with one count each of endangering particular property by fire. Both men are scheduled to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court today, August 15.
