The Brisbane City Tactical Crime Squad has apprehended a man in Lutwyche on multiple weapon-related charges after pulling over a vehicle during the night. Reports indicate that at 7:10 pm, officers noticed a suspicious white Ford Ranger along Lutwyche Road. Upon approaching the driver, police allegedly spotted a knife in the vehicle’s center console. The driver was then detained, and a subsequent search revealed a second knife. Further inspection of the car led to the discovery of a loaded 0.22 caliber revolver, an unloaded glock handgun, along with face masks, gloves, a small amount of cannabis, and drug paraphernalia.

The 25-year-old Annerley man has been charged with six offenses, including unlawful possession of firearms, possession of a dangerous drug, and possession of a knife in a public place. He was denied bail and is scheduled to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on May 9. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
