Samsung Electronics has announced a major expansion of their Tizen OS Licensing Program, reinforcing its position as a leading provider of smart TV operating systems. With the inclusion of prominent original design manufacturers (ODMs), the program marks a significant milestone in the evolution of the Tizen ecosystem, reflecting strong global demand for Samsung’s cutting-edge smart TV platform.

The expansion will see Tizen OS embedded in new TVs from well-known brands across Europe, North and Latin America, and Australia. New partners include EKO and QBELL in Australia and Europe, RCA in Mexico, the United States, and Canada, and Axdia in Germany. The program is expected to attract even more brands in the latter half of 2025 as Samsung continues to build strategic partnerships globally.

Samsung is also focusing on platform innovation, introducing features such as advanced content discovery, integration with Samsung TV Plus, cloud gaming capabilities, and seamless multi-device connectivity. These enhancements aim to provide licensees with a forward-looking platform that meets evolving consumer expectations.

“We are committed to expanding our global partner network and enhancing the Tizen ecosystem,” said Jooyoung Kim, Vice President at Samsung Electronics. “By offering expanded regional support, an enriched app ecosystem, and tailored marketing resources, we aim to deliver even greater value to consumers worldwide.”

With Tizen OS extending beyond its own TV offerings, Samsung remains committed to delivering a robust and premium smart TV experience for consumers worldwide.
